Rising Country Star Drew Baldridge Coming to Lake Charles

Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - The news dropped that another great country concert is coming to the Southwest Louisiana area. Country sensation Drew Baldridge will be making a stop in Lake Charles in July.

Drew Baldridge started his career independently, doing things on his own. He released a few EPs between 2013 and 2015, which helped him gain attention, but his first breakthrough came with the single “Dance With Ya,” which landed on the Country Airplay chart and opened some eyes in Nashville, and built him a wider audience.

In 2016, he released his debut album Dirt on Us and hit the road touring with artists like Lee Brice and Cole Swindell, and other well-known country artists, which helped Baldridge grow his fanbase even more.

Drew was well on his way until he suffered a setback in 2019 when his record label shut down, leaving him without a deal. Instead of throwing in the towel and walking away from the industry, he took control of his career by launching his own label, Lyric Ridge, in 2020.

As an independent artist, Drew Baldridge did something that has not been done by many. He released “She’s Somebody’s Daughter,” a song that went viral on social media. The song eventually became his first Top 40 hit on the Billboard country charts and even reached No. 1 on some country radio rankings, which is unheard of for an independent artist.
