Coushatta Casino Resort always keeps us on our toes and brings some of the best festivals to the area.

New this year at Coushatta is the Country Jam which will feature nothing but great country music from local and national touring acts.

The festival is set for Saturday, June 17th in the pavilion at Coushatta and the line up of entertainment is awesome. The doors will open at 2:00 p.m.

Country music legend Keith Whitley's and Lorrie Morgan's son, Jessie Keith Whitley will perform live followed by George Dearborne. Then get ready for two of the hottest local country artists around the Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas to hit the stage.

Gyth Rigdon From Singer Louisiana will be live and you all know his big regional hit "Body Language". Gyth has been making some real noise in the area packing out shows.

After Gyth finishes his show he will be followed by the old classic country sounds of Mr. Dustin Sonnier. Dustin has had a huge regional hit with "Whiskey Makes Her Miss Me" along with his new single "People Like Me" which has already hit the top 10 on the Texas country charts.

Then get ready for Rick Trevino who in the mid 1990's hit pay dirt with huge songs like "She Can't Say I Didn't Cry" which went to #3 on the Country Charts and a #1 song with "Running Out of Reasons to Run". He also is known for the song "Bobby Ann Mason".

Then to close out the night, legendary country music group Diamond Rio will perform. Diamond Rio has had five number hits in the US and eight number ones overall including "Meet In The Middle", "One More Day", "Beautiful Mess", and "I Believe" just to name a few.

Diamond Rio has also had numerous top 10 hits like "Norma Jean Riley", "Unbelievable", "Your Gone", and "Love A Little Stronger".
