Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana are quickly becoming the place to see some of the biggest music starts in the country. As we reported earlier this month, Lainey Wilson, Mark Chesnutt, Diamond Rio, Shenandoah, Tracy Lawrence, and more are heading to Lake Charles this year in concert.

Today we found out that another great country music star will be making a stop in Lake Charles in May. Country sensation Carly Pearce is currently on tour and she and her band will be making a stop on her tour here in Lake Charles.

Fun fact, Carly Pearce's real name is Carly Cristyne Slusser and she was born in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. She hit the country music scene about 17 years ago in 2006. It took until 2017 for her to make some waves after she wrote the song Every Little Thing and it exploded on satellite radio.

That song helped Pearce get noticed and got her her first record deal with Big Machine. In 2018, she won the Breakthrough Video Of The Year at the CMT awards for the song. Here is the song that launched her career.

Since then, Pearce has also been named the CMA's and the ACM's Female Artist Of The Year in  2021 and also won awards for her duet with Lee Brice called I Hope Your Happy Now.

Recently she saw more success with her duet with Ashley McBryde for the song Never Wanted To Be That Girl which won Music Event Of The Year. She is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Carley Pearce will be performing live in Lake Charles on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at the Golden Nugget's Grand Events Center. The show will start at 8:30 pm and tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, February 3rd, 2023.
