Country’s Doug Supernaw Dead at 60
With '90s legendary hits such as Reno and I Don't Call Him Daddy, Doug Supernaw was at the top of his game in Country music. Although the singer never really turned out a lot of chart toppers, his single I Don't Call Him Daddy was the only one to actually hit number one. A song that was originally done by Kenny Rogers and only reached 86 for him.
Supernaw produced four albums, plus a few Best Of albums during his career before fading off into the distance. He attempted a return in 2016 and began playing around his home state of Texas. He ended up re-recording his greatest hits album in 2017 and introduced two new songs, Here's My Heart and The Company That I Keep.
In early 2019, Supernaw announced he had stage four lung and bladder cancer. A few short months ago, it was announced he was entering into a hospice program and his health was deteriorating. This morning, we found out Supernaw had passed away from the diseases at 60 years old.
