Big Cash Up For Grabs at Coushatta Costume Party This Halloween

[KNGT-FM] - Is it just us, or is this year flying by? It is already September, which means we will soon be rolling into all the holidays. Before you know it, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a New Year will be here. It seems like once you hit October, the year really cruises by.

First up on the holidays is Halloween, which this year takes place on Friday, October 31, 2025. There will be a lot of events going on in Southwest Louisiana for that day, but there are also Halloween parties going on the weekend before in the area.

One of those parties is the annual Coushatta Casino Resorts Costume Contest and party. The Coushatta folks have been putting on this costume party for years now, and it has grown into the biggest one in the area. This year's costume party will feature a big prize for the winner and nine additional prizes.

If you have the best costumes, you can enter the contest for free and have the chance to take one of the 10 top prizes. That's right, at this Halloween Costume party, there is not just first, second, and third prizes, but instead the top 10 costumes all win prizes.

The 2025 Coushatta Casino Resort Costume Party will take place on Saturday, October 25th, inside the event center, which is located in the casino area. Registration takes place from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm that night, with judging starting at 9:00 pm. The party will be hosted by DJ Tyski and feature celebrity judges, including me and Scotty.

If you take the top spot, first place will score you $5,000 cash. Second through tenth places will all receive Free Play, where you can score big in the casino and take home some cash too.
