COVID-19 Testing Resumes at the Burton Complex April 28-30

Yesterday, the governor of Louisiana announced that the stay-at-home order for residents would be extended.

The order was set to expire on April 30, but Governor Edwards has now extended the order to run through May 15, 2020.

With that being said, it is important to keep the testing going. In Calcasieu Parish, COVID-19 testing will continue starting today and run through this Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Remember that the criteria for testing eligibility includes having a fever plus one other symptom like shortness of breath, cough, body aches, sore throat, or runny nose.

Testing will take place at the Burton Coliseum Complex located at 7001 Gulf Highway in Lake Charles and residents of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis parishes are eligible. Residents may begin lining up at 8:30am.
