(KNGT-FM) - If you're starting to make plans for the Christmas season, you might want to check out this, because the Holiday Train has announced it is coming back to Louisiana for seven different dates, and we've got what you need to know...

Is it really ever too early to start looking forward to Christmas time? According to the big chains, it isn't. I was walking through my local Dollar General a few weeks ago, and they were already setting out Christmas items.

Since its inception in 1999, the CP Holiday Train has raised $22.5 million and collected 5 million pounds of food for community food banks along CP’s network in the U.S. and Canada. Every year, CP dispatches two trains covered in lights, one to focus on lines in the U.S. and another in Canada.

The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train tours Canada and the United States, starting November 22nd through December 18th, raising money, food, and awareness for the important work that food banks do in their communities. Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage. CPKC donates to the local food shelf at each stop and encourages attendees to also donate.
