Current Power Outages In South Louisiana Due To Snow Storm
Today Louisiana is seeing some historic weather. The southern part of Louisiana is getting hammered with record amounts of snowfall. We are currently under a blizzard warning as of 8:00 am.
The roadways are covered with snow but most roads are still open. The Louisiana State Police still ask people to stay off the roadways during this weather event. Only get on the road if necessary.
UPDATE: 9:50 am
There is another power outage going on In Moss Lake which is between Carlyss and Hackberry. Here are the current streets and customers without power.
The good news right now is that power outages in the Southwest Louisiana area are minimal at the moment. According to the grids, Entergy customers all currently have power except for one area in South Lake Charles around the Gauthier Road and Addison loop area.
As far as Beauregard Electric, it seems there are about 20 customers without power at the moment. The area affected is around the Texas/Louisiana border. We would say it is located just to the West of Starks, Louisiana.
If more power goes out, we will update you here.
