Delta Downs Casino Reopens in Vinton

Slowly but surely, all the casinos in Southwest Louisiana are starting to reopen. L'auberge and Golden Nugget were the first ones to open last Monday, May 18 at 6:00am. Then, Coushatta Casino resort in Kinder followed suit on Wednesday, May 20, reopening at noon. Now, we have learned that Delta Downs casino reopened on Wednesday at 1:00pm.

Of course, Delta Downs will also follow the state of Louisiana's and the gaming commission's guidelines for Phase One of reopening casinos. They will keep to 25% capacity, which includes their employees, and only have 50% of their gaming machines on and working to promote social distancing.

There's been no word yet on when live concerts will start back up in the Delta Event center or the Gator lounge. Yesterday, we also learned that Delta Downs horse racing is coming back on June 10. The season was shortened due to COVID-19 but will start back up on June 10 and run through August.
