Drew Brees Says He Will Play Against Cardinals Sunday

Yesterday injured Saints quarterback said he is planning on playing this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Yesterday in the Saints locker room reporters ask Drew is he would play this Sunday and he said "That's the plan, we will see".

The Saints have gone 5-0 since Brees injured his thumb in week two against the Rams.  Teddy Bridgewater stepped in for Brees and has lead the team to a perfect 5-0 during Brees departure.

The Saints sit at 6-1 on the season and first place in the NFC South division.  When reporters asked head coach Sean Peyton if Brees will play he said he may wait until Sunday to name his starting quarterback.

The Saints host the Cardinals this Sunday in New Orleans at Noon on CBS.
