It's time to head to the polls, Southwest Louisiana. If you are like me and won't be here for the actual election day on November 8th, here is your chance to go let your voice be heard, as early voting begins today and runs through November 1st.

There are big races going on, including President of the United States, US Senate and House of Representatives races, and state Supreme Court Judges, just to name a few.

Early voting has begun in Calcasieu Parish, as of today. The polls are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm daily, and are located at several locations around the parish.

Here are locations for early voting in Calcasieu Parish:

  • Lake Charles -- Calcasieu  Parish Courthouse on the second floor
  • Sulphur -- Sulphur City Annex
  • Moss Bluff -- Calcasieu Parish Library

Voting is open everyday except Sunday, October 30th, when the polls are closed. You have until Tuesday, November 1st  to early vote.

If you don't early vote early, then you will have to wait until the open primary election date of Tuesday, November 8th.
