It was a big year for the LSU Tigers football program as eight players were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.

That's right, eight players were selected over the seven rounds of the 2017 NFL draft with three players selected in the first round alone.

Running back Leonard Fournette was picked 4th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. That was followed two picks later as Jamal Adams was picked at #6 to the New York Jets.  Then with the 27th pick in the draft, the Buffalo Bills picked cornerback Tre'Davious White.

Then in rounds two thru seven five more Tigers were selected:

  • 58th - Center Ethan Pocic - Seattle Seahawks
  • 75th - Linebacker Duke Riley -- Atlanta Falcons
  • 107th - Inside Linebacker Kendall Beckwith -- Tampa Bay Bucs
  • 178th - Defensive Tackle Davon Godchaux -- Miami Dolphins
  • 247th - Wide Receiver Malachi Dupree -- Green Bay Packers

It was also reported that eight other players signed free agent contracts with teams all over the NFL.  Congrats to the Tigers football program and their big draft this year.
