The Fourth of July is just a few short days away and we have been looking for things for some of out listeners to check out over the weekend and on Independence Day. We have found a few for y'all to check out!

If you're looking for plans to celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday, the City of Lake Charles will be hosting its annual Red, White, Blue, & You Extravaganza on Tuesday in Downtown Lake Charles. The event will take place Tuesday night at the Lake Charles Civic Center Arcade Pavillion.

The event is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. with patriotic sounds from Lake Charles Community Band’s 25-piece “Bayou Big Band.” Rusty Metoyer and the Zydeco Krush will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Rusty is a Lake Charles native that has entertained crowds throughout the country and internationally.
