Fireworks this Friday in Lake Charles during Relay for Life

Friday, May 17 at the Lake Charles Civic Center will be the Relay For Life SWLA event. The free event will feature fireworks, free entertainment, food, fundraisers, and a luminary display. The event raises money and awareness for Cancer. It is one of the largest events to raise money for cancer research and the Lake Charles event is the 2nd largest in the state. Past events have raised over $230,000 dollars.

The opening ceremonies will begin at 7pm featuring a presentation and survivor lap. The fireworks will follow that along with live entertainment by Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs. If you'd like to participate in the race, sponsor a team, or help raise money, you can do so HERE.
