Four SWLA Teams Punch Ticket To Girls Basketball State Championship Games

The 2024 Marsh Madness Girls Basketball tournament in Hammond, Louisiana at Southeastern is happening this week. Southwest Louisiana has had FOUR girls' basketball teams punch their tickets to respective State Tournament games.

If you want to take the trip down to Hammond to support the girls, here is the link to purchase tickets.

TICKET INFORMATION:

If you want to purchase tickets to the State Tournament, you can purchase PER SESSION. A session is the equivalent of ONE DAY of Tournament play. You can not leave and re-enter. Tickets are $18.00 + facility fee & taxes. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS.

OAKDALE LADY WARRIORS (DIVISION IV NS)

The Oakdale Lady Warriors and Head Coach Renotta Edwards are looking to "run it back" as the Lady Warriors try and defend their 2023 State Championship here in 2024. In the State Semifinals, the Lady Warriors defeated White Castle 57-50 behind 24 points from Kaylee Bradley and 17 points from Emani Young. The Warriors advance to the State Title game where they will face a familiar foe in Arcadia who they defeated on a Buzzer-Beater in 2023.

FAIRVIEW LADY PANTHERS (DIVISION V NS)

The Fairview Lady Panthers and "The Goat" Kyle Jinks are heading to yet another State Championship Game after the Lady Pathers defeated Anacoco on Tuesday 81-70 behind a 20-point effort from Avery Williams. The Lady Panthers will take on the Hicks Lady Pirates. Death, Taxes, and the Fairview Lady Panthers in the State Championship.

SOUTH BEAUREGARD LADY K'S (DIVISION II NS)

The South Beauregard Lady K's and Head Coach Susan Johnson have finally made it over the hump of the Semifinals and have made it back to the State Championship Game for the first time since 2017. The Lady K's defeated Church Point on Wednesday 60-39. The Lady K's will be taking on Wossman on Saturday.

ROSEPINE LADY EAGLES (DIVISION III NS)

The Rosepine Lady Eagles are looking to continue to rumble down the tracks as the Lady Eagles have won 21 games in a row dating back to mid-December. The Lady Eagles are another SWLA team that is attempting to defend its Championship crown. Rosepine defeated Westlake 55-48 behind a near triple-double from Senior Kelly Norris. The Lady Eagles will have a State Championship rematch on Saturday Night to cap off the State Tournament as they take on Amite.
