Frankmobile To Make Stops In Lake Charles Over The Weekend
If you see a random hotdog riding around the Lake Charles area, it can only mean one thing... The famous Oscar Meyer Frankmobile is in town!!
Though it is not the same name as it once was, it is still the same fascinating vehicle. In May of 2023, Oscar Meyer announced they would be changing the name of the vehicle from Weinermobile to Frankmobile. They changed the name to help promote a new recipe for its all-beef franks. It was suggested that the name change would not be permanent.
The Frankmobile began back in the 1930s and was just some scrap metal thrown together.. Through the years, the vehicle has certainly evolved as it is now a MINI Cooper S Hardtop. I was driving into Lake Charles early on Thursday Morning and I was able to spot the Frankmobile driving on Highway 171.
If you are wanting your chance to see the MASSIVE weiner on wheels, it will be in the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area all weekend long!

It's your chance to show your kids the Oscar Meyer Frankmobile! I can remember as a kid, we would go crazy anytime we would get the opportunity to see the Weinermobile riding down the highway!
