Mike & Scotty Turn Gator 99.5 Studio Into A Honky-Tonk [VIDEO]
[KNGT-FM] - If you are a frequent listener to Mike Soileau & Scotty Schadler (Mike & Scotty) in the morning, Jess in the Midday, Chaz in the afternoons, or to Gator 99.5 in general, most likely you have heard about the transformation that has been taking place inside the Gator studio.
The studio was just blank walls ever since we moved back into the building a couple of years ago, after all the repairs were done after Hurricane Laura. It was pretty bland in the studio, so one day we decided it was time for a makeover.
It all got started when we hung up the lighted Gator 99.5 sign and two autographed guitars on each side of the sign. That led us to mount the television side by side in the studio.
After all that, it was still driving Scotty crazy that the studio was so blank, so he decided to start raiding his storage buildings and started bringing random things to the studio to decorate.
He has already toted in some mounted red fish and speckled trout, an American Flag, a Mr. Potato Head, an Elvis clock, a liquor sign from the Marshland Festival, and even used his 3D printer to make us a Gator 99.5 putting hole so we can practice our golf game.
You may think, Oh, that's enough stuff. Well, not for me and Scotty. We just added some new beer and liquor signs, some LSU and McNeese signs, and, to top it off, a dance floor light that blinks to the beat of the music that is played in the studio. It truly looks like a honky-tonk now.
The only thing missing is a new name for the studio, and that is where you come in. Think you’ve got the perfect name for our new-look studio? If we pick yours, you’ll score tickets to see Cody Jinks or Jon Pardi. First, take a tour of the studio below, and then let’s hear it.
