KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — There ain’t many weekends in Southwest Louisiana that feel bigger than Go Topless Weekend down at Holly Beach. And after hosting this thing the last 3 years, I can honestly tell ya… this is hands down one of my favorite events every single year.

It’s like Jeep season officially kicks off when everybody starts heading south to the Cajun Riviera. Folks come rolling in from all over Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. You’ll see Jeeps lined up everywhere. Lifted Jeeps, beach Jeeps, mud Jeeps, shiny Jeeps, loud Jeeps… if it’s got no top and big tires, chances are it’s gonna be parked somewhere on Holly Beach this weekend.

And now… we finally got the updated entertainment lineup and event times locked in thanks to GTW on the Cajun Riviera. So if you’ve been waiting to make plans, sha… here ya go.

Go Topless Weekend 2026 Events

The fun officially kicks off at 12:00pm with the National Anthem and music starting up on the beach. Then it’s pretty much game on for the rest of the afternoon.

At 3:00pm, they’ll fire up the Tug-of-War Contest. And if you’ve never watched people try to pull each other through sand after being in the sun all day… well… you’re missing out on some prime entertainment.

Then at 4:00pm comes Musical Chairs. And let me tell ya right now, folks get WAY too competitive over musical chairs at the beach. It gets serious fast.

At 5:00pm… yep… the legendary Mankini Contest returns. I still don’t fully understand why grown men volunteer for this, but every year they do it anyway. Some things just can’t be explained.

And then at 5:30pm, the World Famous Bikini Contest takes over Holly Beach and closes out the evening festivities.

So tell ya mawmaw, ya pawpaw, ya cousins, and everybody else… load up the coolers, take the tops off them Jeeps, and head south to Cameron Parish this weekend.

But lemme throw this warning out there too…

Don’t come down there acting a donkey thinking anything goes. The Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office will absolutely be out there, and from what I hear, they got a pretty nice jail if you decide you don’t know how to act.

Go have fun. Respect the beach. Respect the people around ya. And let’s make this another big weekend on the Cajun Riviera.
