Golden Nugget Lake Charles To Host 10th Anniversary Celebration

This may blow your mind but the Golden Nugget Casino resort in Lake Charles is turning 10 years old this weekend. We had the same reaction, it has been open for 10 years already here in Lake Charles. That is hard to believe but it's true.

The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles is a premier destination for people all over the country especially here in Southwest Louisiana and folks from Texas. In 10 short years, the Golden Nugget has become the destination for great entertainment. They have brought the who's who in live musical, comedy, and theatre entertainment to the lake area.

It seems that almost every weekend there is a concert going on at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. You get to see the biggest names in the country, R&B, Rap, and Comedy weekly. Over the 10 years, some things have changed at the Golden Nugget.

Do you remember when they used to have a buffet? It has been replaced with a state-of-the-art sports bar and betting facility called Draft Kings and features so much television where you can watch and wager on sports we can't even count.

There is a bunch of nightlife always going on at the casino too. They have the Rush lounge with live music every night and the Blue Martini bar just outside the casino with live music and DJs every Thursday through Saturday nights.

The resort is not just a destination for gambling. It features massive pools with swim-up bars, a spa, a world-class golf course, and several popular brand restaurants. This weekend, the Golden Nugegt plans to celebrate 10 years in Southwest Louisiana.

The 10th-anniversary celebration will take place this Saturday, December 7th, 2024. They will also be serving cake at the main entrance of the Casino at 9:00 pm and will also have Champagne Service on the Casino Floor from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
