Good Morning America's Robin Roberts is headed to Lake Charles, Louisiana. A video posted by Robin Roberts has gone locally viral as she announced the trip on her Facebook page. She talked in the video about how hard the SWLA area was hit after two hurricanes and noted that people from the area reached out about how perhaps we have been forgotten in the mainstream news after the storms passed.

"We want to be your eyes and ears."

Roberts talked about how she is from the Gulf Coast area and is reminded about the aftermath of New Orleans after Katrina. This will be the first venture out of their studio, Roberts said, since the epidemic hit in early 2020. No word on if the journalist will be live during tomorrow's show, but we will soon find out what type of coverage the SWLA area will receive from Good Morning America.
