Granger Smith, Happens to Like Cats?

I grew up listening to Weird Al Yankovich, the food album being my favorite. We mishear and re-write lyrics all of the time. Weird Al capitalized on it back in his hay day. Granger Smith has done the same, but with his own song!

"I Happen to Like Cats" is a play on his super single "It Happens Like That" from 2017. Unlike the origional, co-written by Smith and Florida Georgia Line, he took a stab at this feline focused parody on his own.

In the video, Smith is sitting on his couch in a "I Happen to Like Cats" shirt, that you can buy from his website I found, and has his pawed pals all around him.

I have to be honest, when I watched it for the first time, I didn't even realize it was Granger Smith in the video. I was so focused on what in the world was going on, I never noticed.

This is not the first time Smith has had an alter-ego. Earl Dibbles Jr. is his redneck alter ego, complete with shotgun and own single on Smith's album called 'Merica that was released on Smith's Remmington album.
