The kids are out of school this week for Spring Break. Are you looking for something fun to do with them? If the answer is yes, then get ready as the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are returning to Southwest Louisiana for only one show this week.

The Harlem Globetrotters were founded back in 1926 or 97 years ago. They are an exhibition baseball team that has entertained audiences for almost a century. Since they were founded, they have played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 124 countries and territories.

According to the event page,

The World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their tour to Lake Charles. This is a basketball event, like no other. Ankle-breaking moves, jaw-dropping swag, and rim-rattling dunks are only some of the thrill you can expect from this show. Part street ball from the players who defined it, part interactive family entertainment, the tour will show off the best of the globetrotters in a dazzling exhibition of talent and game.

Do you remember some of the legendary Harlem Globetrotters? Players like Wilt Chamberlain, Fred "Curly" Neal, Meadowlark Lemon, "Sweet" Lou Dunbar, and Hubert "Geese" Ausbie are iconic former members of the team. All of their jersey numbers have been retired by the Harlem Globetrotters.

The Harlem Globetrotters will in Lake Charles this night Thursday, April 13, 2023. They will be performing at the Lake Charles Civic Center that night with the show starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale at the Lake Charles Civic Center box office.
