Facebook Hoax: Riley Green Not Playing Lake Charles In September
[KNGT-FM] - It has come to our attention that a Facebook event post is circulating on social media about a concert event supposedly taking place at the Lake Charles Event Center featuring Riley Green in concert. It caught our eye for a couple of reasons.
First, we thought, why is Riley Green coming back to Lake Charles so soon again? Remember, Riley Green and Ella Langley just performed in Lake Charles back in May of this year. Artists rarely book concerts that close together in the same town.

The second thing is, we did some investigating. We went to Riley Green's website and saw that he was performing in Canada the day after the supposed show was to take place in Lake Charles. Artist booking agencies do a thing called routing, where they try and book a least two shows back to back within a close geographical area to make it easier for the artist to travel from show to show.
We spoke directly with the director of the Lake Charles Event Center, Jimmy Pottorff, and he confirmed that there is no show scheduled for September 2025 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Here is a screenshot of the Facebook post, which is fake, about Riley Green playing Lake Charles in September 2025.
So if you see this below on Facebook, it's FAKE.

It looks like JivePass folks are the ones who posted this FAKE event. We would also recommend not clicking the ticket link either. We wanted to make you aware of this. We all work hard for our money to be scammed.
