Horseshoe Casino Lake Charles Announces Opening Date

It is finally happening, the all-new Horseshoe Casino Lake Charles has announced it will be opening its doors on December 12 of this year. The former Isle of Capri closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and then was hit hard by Hurricane Laura. In the last few months, they have been bringing back employees and hiring new ones to train and get ready for its opening.

The brand-new casino will feature 1,000 slot machines, a poker room, a sports book, and over 250 hotel rooms for guests to enjoy during their stay at the property. Restaurants won't be a problem when it comes to variety, plus they are bringing in a Michelin-rated Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant in the middle of next year. There will also be Slice Pizzeria & Pasta with a Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins to follow along in the coming year. Horseshoe also says they will be doing quite a few events leading up to the New Year, along with a New Year's Eve celebration including a first-ever drone show.

The official opening date for the property is December 12 at noon. The Horseshoe invites everyone out to their opening date for their official ribbon cutting at noon with activities and events happening throughout the entire day of opening with a giant fireworks display that same evening.
