I-10 Bridge Eastbound Reopened In Lake Charles

Update: 7:30pm, June 11, 2024: ***UPDATE - NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC*** - (from LA DOTD)

Update: 10:53 am June 11, 2024: Vehicles on I-10 Eastbound by Westlake are being diverted off the interstate into Westlake, Louisiana.

Breaking news out of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The I-10 Bridge Eastbound is closed at this time. Traffic is backed up from the I-10 Bridge Eastbound all the to the I-210/I-10 interchange.

Traffic is being diverted to I-210 East bound but that is backing up too. Plus there is a wreck on I-210 Eastbound at the Enterprise Blvd overpass backing traffic up as well. Here is the current traffic map.

If you are coming in from Vinton, Carlyss, or Sulphur, or coming in from Texas, you will need to find an alternate route if you are looking to bypass the Lake Charles area.
