I-10 Westbound Down To One Lane In Lake Charles And Here’s Why

This is a heads-up for Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana drivers and commuters. If your commute takes you out of Lake Charles and heading Westbound toward Sulphur or Texas, you may want to take the I-210 bypass instead.

The DOTD announced that one lane of the I-10 bridge Westbound will be closed today for bridge maintenance.

The Calcasieu River bridge, known by some people, will be down to one lane from 8:00 am this morning until 4:00 pm this afternoon. Traffic is already backed up a couple of miles.

There is no word on if this is a one-day event or if it will be several days. Just keep it tuned here for the latest traffic updates.
