Lake Charles, Louisiana: Here’s Why Will Wade Is Suspended For The First Five Games
McNeese has announced that their new head basketball coach Will Wade will be suspended for the first five games of his first season with the Pokes.
If you missed Wade's press conference yesterday at the Legacy Center, you can watch it by clicking here.
McNeese Insider, Jim Gazzolo, is reporting that Wade's five-year contract is worth $1.175 million making him the highest paid basketball coach in McNeese history.
In suspending Wade for the first five games of next season, McNeese is taking pre-emptive actions to show the NCAA that they can police their own and hopefully stave off any future repercussions for Wade's firing last year from LSU.
In addition to the suspension, McNeese will also implement seven other restrictions on Coach Wade and the basketball program.
