Jeeps Invade Lake Charles Over the Weekend
The Seven Slot Society of SWLA, Lake Charles' local jeep club, invited a sister club, the Louisiana Jeepers, over from Lafayette this past weekend to come partake in some local eating and drinking. The clubs have worked together time and time again to help each others various charity events, but this one was just to hang out and enjoy some fellowship.
They started at Darrel's in Lake Charles. We all know, when you come to Lake Charles, Darrel's is the first place you want to go! The Louisiana Jeepers showed up WAITING for the doors to open as they filed in ready to eat.
After eating, and being ready for a nap, the groups went down to Crying Eagle Brewing, to sample some of the Lake Areas homemade beer. Of course they have their own beer brewers in Lafayette, but we secretly know Crying Eagle is better. They toured and tasted.
Lastly, the next stop was Bayou Rum to tour and taste as well. Most had never been to Bayou Rum, so the tasting was the best part.
It's such a neat thing to see local groups getting together to show off the amazing amenities we have in the area, and we hope they come back soon!
