All LSU fans know how 2019 was the best year ever for LSU Football. It was the year that Coach Ed Orgeron was at the helm and quarterback Joe Burrow took over the team and the offense for a record-breaking and mind-blowing season.

It was the year where LSU went 15-0, won the SEC Championship, and also won the college football national championship. On top of that, Joe Burrow also won the Heisman Trophy that season which is given to the best college football player in the country.

You may not know that Joe Burrow started out his college career at Ohio State but when Joe decided to leave the Buckeyes, college football coaches and programs came calling for his services. One of those teams of course was LSU.

We found this video from a podcast called Pardon My Take which is part of the Barstool Sports family. This video was posted about three years ago and the host asked Joe Burrow about this story of when Coach O was recruiting him and wanted to know if it was true.

They asked Joe if the rumor was true that Joe and Coach O were out to dinner in Louisiana and Coach asked Joe if he liked crawfish. Joe said I love crawfish and Coach asked would you like some. The problem was, the restaurant they were at didn't have any to serve.

So Coach O picked up his phone and as Joe Burrow describes it, "Called his crawfish Guy". and here is what happened after that. Check out Joe talking about the story.

How great was that!  Now you know that boiled crawfish helped us get Joe Burrow and win a national championship. How Louisiana is that?
