Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - One of Southwest Louisiana's favorite local country music artists is returning to the area to play several shows. Known as the Honky Tonk Mexican, Johnny Jimenez, will be making his way back to the bayou state to play a slew of shows for one weekend only.

Johnny moved to Ohio two years ago for work and hasn’t performed in the area since. Known as one of Lake Charles’ most popular local country artists, he was a crowd favorite, regularly packing festivals, nightclubs, restaurants, and bars whenever he hit the stage.

Unfortunately, the job called, and he made the move, leaving a void for all you Honky Tonk Mexican fans to see him play live. Good news, though, Johnny called me and let me know that he will be in town this weekend, starting Thursday evening, and is planning to play three, if not four, shows.
