Honky Tonk Mexican Johnny Jimenez Announces Holiday Shows
Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - Everyone’s favorite Honky Tonk Mexican is making a long-awaited return to town just in time for the Christmas holidays. After nearly two years away from the area, Johnny Jimenez is coming back to Lake Charles for three big shows, and he’s bringing the party with him.
Fans can expect high-energy performances, crowd favorites, and plenty of awesome country tunes as Jimenez celebrates the season with the community that helped make him a local favorite.

About two years ago, Johnny relocated to Ohio for work, which took him off local stages and away from the Lake Charles music scene. Before the move, he was one of the area’s most in-demand country artists, drawing big crowds wherever he performed, from festivals and nightclubs to restaurants and neighborhood bars.
His absence definitely left fans of the Honky Tonk Mexican missing those live shows, but the wait is finally over. Johnny recently reached out to share the news that he’ll be back in town starting Christmas night and plans to take the stage for three shows during his visit.
Johnny announced on social media that he’ll be performing three nights in a row at multiple venues across Southwest Louisiana when he returns to town. Here is where he will be.
- Thursday, Dec. 25 -- Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles, starting at 9:00 am
- Friday, Dec. 26 -- Chaser's Bar & Grill on the corner of Lake Street & University Drive in Lake Charles, starting at 8:00 pm.
- Saturday, Dec. 27 -- The Wharf Bar & Grill, located on Ryan Street in Lake Charles, starting at 9:00 pm.
We are excited that our brother is coming back home for the holidays, and we get to see him perform again.
