Keep Louisiana Beautiful Announces New Campaign

It's called "Love the Boot at Home" and features activities you can do at home, social distancing, but focus on eco-friendly activities. It's a way to keep the community connected, but safely. Featuring ways to reduce litter, continuing care for the environment, and still beautifying our area, the initiative charges us all to continue to keep SWLA litter free.

Participants can visit the website for Pick It Up Calcasieu and sign up for cleaning efforts, and even adopt a spot. Now, more than ever, is the time to think about litter and picking up after yourself to prevent it from impacting the world around us. Wyvette Pryor-Cousin, the Calcasieu Parish litter manager told Visit Lake Charles in a press release,

These materials are being used to protect us from possible contamination from COVID-19. If they are not disposed of properly, we are risking the spread of this life-threatening virus.
