So, instead of spending your weekend trying to figure out what to do, we’ve rounded up some of the events and activities happening around the area. You can visit the Charlestown Farmers Market in downtown Lake Charles. Located at Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center, the weekly market brings together local growers, bakers, artists, and food vendors every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

If you love Cajun music, then get ready as the band Four Horses will be live at Jellystone RV Park and Resort on Saturday evening. The band will play under the pavilion from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. You don't have to be camping at the park to attend the concert.

The Lake Charles Gun & Knife Show is taking place inside the Lake Charles Event Center's exhibition hall this Saturday and Sunday. The Lake Charles Gun & Knife Show runs Saturday, August 22nd, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday, August 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is $10, while children 12 and under get in for free with adult supervision.
