Things all over Southwest Louisiana are starting to reopen and now there are things you can get out and do everyday instead of being cooped up in the house.

If you're a history buff or an art lover, we have just the thing for you! The City of Lake Charles has announced the reopening of historic city hall in downtown Lake Charles. The reopening is set for this Friday, May 22, 2020 and will feature two new exhibits.

The first exhibit is called What On Earth and features the work of Gallery By The Lake with works from artist Pat Craft. This exhibit will be located at the Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center and starts this Friday, May 22.

A second exhibit called A New Collection of Work featuring Kevin Lawrence Leveque will also open in the second floor gallery on Friday.

As is everyone else, the city of Lake Charles will be following Louisiana’s guidelines for reopening. Just like most businesses in phase one of reopening, they will limit occupancy to twenty five percent. They are suggesting visitors wear masks and use hand sanitizer. The city hall will provide hand sanitizer and have dispensers located throughout the building

The hours of operation will be starting Friday, May 22 at 10:00am and Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
