Stroll Through Downtown Lake Charles And Its Fascinating Past
🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA — You every drive down Ryan Street in Downtown Lake Charles and wonder about the old Buildings and the History of the Chuck? If so, then I have got an event got you.
A guided walking tour presented by the Imperial Calcasieu Museum takes visitors on a walk down one of Southwest Louisiana's best Downtown. Mark your Calendar for January 31, 2026.
This Stroll starts at the Historic City Hall and goes down Ryan Street, making stops to discuss important sights along the way.
Along the way visitor will learn about the great fire of 1910, and the modern safeguards put into place to conserve our historical structures for future disasters.
Now depending on the group and their speed (this is not a race BTW), the walking tour can last anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. The tour will begin once everyone has gathered on the first floor of Historic City Hall.
Don't Forget to "Dress for the Weather" this is in January and might be a little chilly. And don't forget to wear your comfy shoes. Make a day of it and come early and visit the Imperial Calcasieu Museum earlier that day to learn even more about the History of Lake Charles.
You can buy tickets online HERE
But if you would like more of a private tour that option is also available. All you have to do is Call (337) 439-3797 or send an email to info@LCICM.org for further information.
