Are your kids bouncing off the walls this Summer? Are they tired of being in the house? Are you tired of them being in the house? Here is a great way to get them out of the house and do something fun while also learning a new sport, golf.

The City of Lake Charles along with Mallard Cove Golf Club is teaming up and offering a kid's golf camp. The golf camp is set for July 1st, 2024, and is open to kids 6 to 14 years of age.

Katie Harrington with the city of Lake Charles offered up these details for us to pass along to you. She said,

This free camp, geared towards children ages 6-14, will be held at JD Clifton Park (2415 Gieffers St.) from 9 – 11 am.

Attendees will learn how to play golf from Mallard Golf Club’s PGA Professional while participating in several fun activities and challenges.

This is the perfect opportunity for campers to learn about a new sport!

Golf clubs and other necessary supplies will be provided for use during the event.

Lake Charles Coca-Cola is partnering on this event as well to help keep the aspiring golfers hydrated.

The free event is open to the public.
