Lake Charles Pizza Joint Announces Closure

Over the last few years, folks here in Southwest Louisiana have had to battle more obstacles than anyone would ever want, not only with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the now-rising prices of absolutely everything but also with multiple hurricanes over the last few years.

Over the weekend it was announced that one of Southwest Louisiana and Lake Charles's favorite pizza restaurants will be closing down.

On Sunday, Mellow Mushroom announced that their last day of business will be on Friday, May 31st. Here is the post that was made on Social Media by Todd Ammons...

With a very heavy heart, I am posting to let everyone know that effective end of business on May 31 at 10 PM, the Lake Charles Mellow Mushroom will be closing permanently. We want to say thanks to all of those who supported us over the last 7 years. Without you, we could not have made it this far. We want to give a special thanks to all of the employees who, over the years, did so much to make the Lake Charles Mellow Mushroom great. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. To our current team, We cannot say enough. Many of you helped us get through the COVID pandemic, Hurricanes Laura and Ida, and you and many others who have joined the team since have gotten us through very challenging times. Thanks again to everyone!
