Your first inclination, since it is Walmart, is that they're just random ones brought in from the outside world. Although that would make for a good story, these are new in the box. I've seen quite a few posts over the last week of more and more people finding adult-type toys on the shelves of various Walmarts around the Lake Area.

Now, I have known a Walmart or two to sell small personal vibrators. Nothing truly extravagant, but it seems that they are really upping their game when it comes to adult-type extracurricular activities. Gone are the days of just selling protection and a few lubes, they're now raising the bar and really going for it. All behind a locked glass case. You know, the ones you have to ask a Walmart rep to get out for you. My question was, why now?

It seems back in 2015-2017, Walmart acquired a website called Jet.com. That site sells such "bedroom paraphernalia" that one would find in a legitimate adult store where you'd park your car in the back so your neighbors don't see that you're there. Walmart bought the online retailer for $3 billion and merged it with its website for online sales. Now, it seems more and more of those items are making it to the shelves in their actual retail stores.

For the most part, it seems like no one is really offended about the toys "hanging out" on the aisles. They seem to be in the pharmacy area from what I can tell from the pictures. It's not like kids really go down that aisle to peruse the Advil, so I would say it's not that big of a deal. However, if you think about it, you could have a one-stop shop situation at Walmart now. Grab a pizza, ice cream, and an adult toy, and have a nice night all to yourself!
