Baton Rouge, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - LSU shook up the College Football world over the Thanksgiving Weekend as Athletics Director Verge Ausberry nailed down the Tigers' next Head Coach by tabbing Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin to be the next coach at LSU.

Kiffin is already off and running as the Head Man of the Tigers. Sunday Night, when Kiffin and company arrived in Baton Rouge, their first stop was the LSU Football Operations building, where Kiffin met with #1 recruit Lamar Brown, current LSU coaches, and made recruiting phone calls.

Kiffin is bringing over a few members of his staff from Ole Miss.

Kiffin brought nine coaches and staff members from Ole Miss with him. One of the biggest names is Charlie Weis Jr., who served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Even though Kiffin brought many coaches with him, he still has several staff spots to fill. LSU is not expected to keep many of its offensive assistants after the Tigers averaged just 21.8 points per game this season, the second-lowest in the SEC.

LSU is still expected to look at keeping some of its current defensive coaches.
