Southwest Louisiana, Let’s Show Up for This Lake Charles Blood Drive – This Week!
KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — One thing I've learned around Southwest Louisiana is this. When folks need help, they show up. LifeShare Blood Center is hoping that's exactly what happens on July 1, 2, and 3, and honestly, this is one of those events that's easy to get behind.
Here's the deal. They're gonna be open from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. all three days at 214 Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive in Lake Charles.
Now, donating blood is already a pretty big deal. We dont think about needing blood until that time comes, and in an emergency situation this can be life threating. Thats why we need your help to make a difference here in Southwest Louisiana.

But they're making it a little more fun, too. Every person who donates will get a $25 gift card and a United We Give T-shirt while supplies last. And if y'all know me, you had me at food. They're gonna have grilled hot dogs cooking and even homemade Blizzards for donors. That's a pretty good way to spend a lunch break if you ask me.
I always say Southwest Louisiana has some of the biggest hearts anywhere. We show up after hurricanes. We show up for benefits. We show up when somebody's family is hurting. This is just another chance to help somebody you'll probably never meet. That's pretty special.
Mark your calendar for July 1 through July 3. Swing by LifeShare Blood Center at 214 Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Give a little of your time, grab a hot dog, cool off with a homemade Blizzard, pick up your gift card and T-shirt, and most importantly, help save a life.
