With summer right around the corner, there’s no shortage of fun things to do with the kids in Southwest Louisiana. From a day at I-10 Beach to exploring the new Port Wonder Children's Museum, there are plenty of ways to keep everyone entertained. You can also cool off at SPAR Waterpark or make a splash at Lazy Gator Waterpark for a full day of family fun.

Each Friday night, a different family-friendly film will be shown at 6:30 p.m., with events taking place at various locations around Calcasieu Parish. Guests are encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks; free popcorn and cotton candy will also be available.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury reminds families to arrive early to get a good spot on the lawn. There will also be free popcorn and cotton candy for guests. You can also bring your own snacks and drinks if you’d like.
