Loretta Lynn who's career spans 56 years in Country music is celebrating her 84th birthday today.

Loretta Lynn was actually born Loretta Webb on this day in 1932 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky.  At the ripe old age of 15 years old Loretta married her husband Oliver Lynn in 1948.  Wow only 15 years old when she got married.  She had three of her six children before the age of 19.  Times have surely changed huh?

Loretta Lynn who is known as "The First Lady Of Country Music" and "The Coal Miners Daughter" started her music career back in 1960.  Since that time, Loretta has released 80 singles in her historic career.

Some of Loretta's biggest hits were "Don't Come Home a Drinkin' With Lovin' on your mind,  "You're Looking at Country" and of course her number one hit "Coal Miners Daughter".

Here is Loretta singing "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' With Lovin' On Your Mind".

But history was made in 1971 when two of the biggest stars in country music history found each other and teamed up for some of the most memorable and classic country music ever recorded. Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty  went into the studio and from the first song, something special emerged.

The duo had five consecutive Number 1 hits.  Some of the songs you will remember and love include Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man, "As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone", and "After the Fire Is Gone".

Happy Birthday Loretta and many more!
