I am so excited to see that country music icon Loretta Lynn is coming to Lake Charles in December!  I mean she is the queen of country music and we get to see the Country Music Hall of Famer in concert right here in Southwest Louisiana.

Loretta Lynn started her career in 1960.  Wow she has been performing for 56 years now!  The 84 year old Lynn has become the queen of country music because of all her accomplishments throughout her career.

Other than knowing Loretta for her iconic songs "Cold Miners Daughter" and "Don't come home with Loving On Your Mind", she is also known for her span of hits with country legend Conway Twitty.

I didn't realize that Conway and Loretta cut 11 studio albums and had 13 singles.  It all started in 1971 and spanned through with number one hits like ""After the Fire Is Gone", "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" and "The Letter" just to name a few.

Loretta Lynn will be performing at the Golden Nugget casino on Saturday December 17th at 8:00 p.m. in the Grand Ball Room.
