Living in Louisiana, we all know that the dog days of summer are the worst! From high temperatures and humidity to triple-digit heat indexes. Summers in South Louisiana can get brutally hot. This Louisiana city has been named the most-humid city in the entire United States.

WHAT ACTUALLY IS HUMIDITY?

Humidity is, in general, a measure of water vapor in the air. Meteorologists typically describe water vapor in the atmosphere in two different ways: absolute humidity and relative humidity. Dew point is an absolute measure and helps us understand how muggy and humid it feels outside.
