Louisiana Native James Dupre’ To Make His Grand Ole Opry Debut
It seems like Louisiana artists are getting some love from Nashville lately. Back in early July, we reported that Opelousas native Kylie Frey was going to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry.
Frey did just that as she performed inside the famed circle at the Opry House on July 18, 2023. Now the announcement has been made that another Louisiana country music artist will be making his Grand Ole Opry debut.
James Dupre' made the big announcement on his Facebook page yesterday. James rose to national fame back in 2012 when Ellen Degenres found him on the internet and loved the way he sang and invited James to the show. Here is the clip from that show.
Jame Dupre' who is from Bayou Chicot, Louisiana also has a brighter who is a country music artist. His brother Ashton Dupre' has played all over the area in Southwest Louisiana.
James posted this on his official Facebook page to make the announcement about his upcoming performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
We looked on the Grand Ole Opry website and James will share the stage that night with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys and Scotty McCreery. More artists are slated to be added before the show.
How cool is that? Tickets for the show are on sale now. If you are going to be in Nashville then, here is the link to get tickets.
Congrats James. Enjoy your debut performance at the legendary Opry House, sir. You are making Louisiana proud!
