Louisiana State Police Conducting Seatbelt and Sobriety Checkpoint Saturday

The Louisiana State Police will conduct a DWI and seatbelt checkpoint this Saturday night April 11th and the checkpoint will be somewhere in Calcasieu Parish.

Sgt. James Anderson advises drivers to remember to buckle up and designate a driver. He also went on to say that "Our mission will be to ticket vehicle occupants who are not properly restrained or who choose not to properly restrain children in the vehicle as well as to remove impaired drivers from the road before they cause injury or death to themselves or others."

So be smart Southwest Louisiana, designate a driver!
