When it comes to summer grilling, this is what we're reaching for.

One of the things that I love about summer is grilling. You can put just about anything on the grill. My favorite, is a classic burger with the perfect amount of char and extra cheese. It's heaven! I usually don't put condiments like mustard or ketchup on my burgers, but sometimes you just can't resist adding in an extra layer of flavor.

Ever wonder which condiment is Louisiana's favorite?

Luckily, we don't have to wonder very long as Mental Floss has answered that question for us. They put together a list of the Most Popular Condiment in Each State. Some of the items on the list, like coconut oil and marshmallow fluff, I don't consider to be condiments. However, the definition of condiment is "something used to give a special flavor to food, as mustard, ketchup, salt, or spices", so I guess these items make the cut.

On the list, Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce is the most popular condiment in our state. It's odd that we don't love... Oh, I don't know... Louisiana Hot Sauce or even Tony Chachere's, if you want to consider spices as condiments. Heck, Tabasco Pepper Sauce is made in Louisiana. Why didn't that make the list?

Do you have a favorite condiment?
