LSU Baseball Ready to Defend Title in 2026

Even with several pieces leaving for the MLB Draft, LSU brings back important starters. Derek Curiel, Casan Evans, and Steven Milam return and will play big roles for the Tigers. LSU also added new players through the transfer portal to help fill key spots.

Curiel is the team’s top hitter and one of the best players in the nation. Evans is expected to move into the starting rotation after a strong freshman season. LSU did lose many players from last year’s title team, so new and younger players will need to step up. That may take some time, but LSU has the talent to compete again.
