The college football season begins this Saturday, August 24th with what is called week zero. There are a few games on tap this Saturday including #10 Florida State taking on Georgia Tech in Ireland.

Another game that should grab your attention if you are from Louisiana is the McNeese Cowboys from Lake Charles will be in action taking on Tarleton this Saturday at 2:30 pm and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

As for the LSU Tigers football team, they won't see any action until Sunday, September 1st when they travel to Las Vegas to face off against USC. That game will also be televised nationally on ABC at 6:30 pm.  The Tigers are nationally ranked at #13 in the AP Poll while USC is #23.

The first home game for the Tigers won't be until Saturday, September 7th, 2024 when they host Nicholls from the Southland Conference which is also the conference that the McNeese Cowboys play in.  That game will be played in Tiger Stadium with the kickoff set for 6:30 pm.
