It has been a huge weekend for the LSU Tigers football program.  First, LSU beat up Texas A&M Thanksgiving night 54-39.  The game wasn't that close as the score indicates.

LSU dominated the Aggies in all three phases of the game but a couple of late scores brought the score closer than it was.

Then On Saturday, the LSU athletic department made the announcement that would be taking the interim tag from Ed Orgeron and officially named him the next head football coach of the LSU Tigers.

Now yesterday, the national college football polls came out and with the impressive win over Texas A&M, the Tigers are back in both national polls.

The Tigers jumped from #25 to #21 in the AP poll and are back on the Amway Coaches poll at #21 as well.  Last week, LSU wasn't even ranked in the poll.
